What can I expect when I sign up for counseling?
You can expect a safe, non-threatening and confidential setting. You will be able to express your fears, worries, anger and needs without any judgment. You should feel heard, understood, and attended to. You will be met at the place where you are and helped to process your feelings and thoughts in a caring manner, at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Psychotherapy involves regularly scheduled, 50-minute sessions. The frequency of sessions and duration of the therapy process are designed to fit the needs and goals of each client.
Fees and Appointments
To help us both determine if I am the right counselor for you, I offer a FREE initial phone consultation to all clients.
While operating according to State laws and standards, my practice is 100% private. My fee is $150 per session, payable by cash, check or electronically at the time of service. All Blue Cross Insurance plans are accepted. Clients are responsible for payment at the time-of-service delivery. Invoices available, upon request.
For your convenience, morning, day, and evening appointments are available Mondays through Saturdays.
Do you accept insurance?
In-Network: All Blue Cross insurance plans are accepted, as a Tier 1 provider.
Out-of-Network: As a credentialed and Licensed Professional Counselor, services are fully reimbursable by all insurance companies as an out of network provider, based on your Out of Network Benefits.
Payment for services is due at the time of service. Receipts are available, as requested.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, the law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and a psychotherapist. Information is not disclosed without written permission. However, there are a number of exceptions to this rule. Exceptions include:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person or persons, the therapist must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
- If a client intends to harm himself or herself, the therapist will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, further measures may be taken without their permission to ensure safety.
In the event of an emergency, you may call the Mobile Crisis Response Center
at (877) 652-7624, phone 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
